Date: Spring 2023
Duration: 6 weeks
Tools: Plaster casting
Class: Object 2 with Professor David Edmonds
University of New South Wales (exchange)
In this project, I balanced geometric, organized forms
representing the structure of an American family-style
dinner layout with an organic, fluid decoration representing
the lively, chaotic conversation that transpires in this dining
ritual. The pull-string ornamentation connects the geometric
forms just as puzzle pieces align, symbolizing that they are
connected by the meal they share as a family.
